For dancers who hear everything

Every other app makes you find the 1.Mox finds it.

Import any song you own. Mox finds the 1, splits the instruments your dance is made of, and labels the sections the way your teacher talks — derecho, majao, mambo — so you drill exactly the bars you need.

Import. Find the 1. Drill.

No catalog, no account, no feed. Your music, taken apart so you can put your dancing together.

STEP 1

Import your music

The songs you actually dance to, from your files. They never leave your control — analysis is private to your device.

STEP 2

Mox finds the 1

An anchored 8-count with honest confidence. When Mox isn't sure, it says so and asks you to tap the 1 — it never asserts a wrong count.

STEP 3

Drill what's hard

Solo the güira. Slow the chorus to 70% at full pitch. Loop the mambo with a one-bar count-in. Track your streak.

Built for dancers, not just musicians

Musician tools give you stems. Mox gives you musicality — in the vocabulary you already dance in.

Anchored 8-count

Not a metronome — the actual 1 of the phrase, on your song, with a confidence gate and tap-to-correct.

Latin instrument lanes

Güira, bongó, requinto, segunda for bachata; congas, piano, brass for salsa (beta). Solo and mute each one.

Sections in dance vocabulary

Derecho, majao, mambo — detected automatically, labeled the way your instructor talks.

Slow down, keep pitch

50–150% speed with every lane in lockstep. The song stays the song.

Loops with a count-in

Beat-snapped A–B loops that give you one bar of count before every repeat, at your speed.

Practice drills

Find the 1, Name that instrument, Name the feel — scored drills on your own music, with streaks and personal bests.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Mox never asks you to sign up. Your music, practice history, and progress live on your device.

What happens to my music?

Songs stay on your device. When you analyze one, the audio is processed on our server to separate instruments and find the beat; the separated audio is only ever available to your device and is deleted after 30 days of inactivity. Details in the privacy policy.

Which dances does it support?

Bachata is fully supported. Salsa is in beta — piano and brass lanes, montuno/mambo section labels. Kizomba and zouk are on the roadmap.

What if Mox gets the 1 wrong?

Mox shows a count only when it's confident. When it isn't, it tells you and asks you to tap the 1 — one tap re-anchors the whole song. It never confidently shows a wrong count.
